For a long time, I've admired those who can bake fresh bread and actually have it turn out to be delicious. I love the art of baking bread, though for some time I watched others bake it and never attempted it myself. It seemed so complex and time-consuming at first and though I would've loved to take part, it seemed so much easier just watching from the sidelines.
I spent several weeks reading and researching recipes. I wanted a bread recipe that was all around delicious, sweet, yet savory, and easy. Did I mention easy? If it was going to require hours of kneading and waiting, I was out. I came across a recipe from Ashley at The Vanilla Tulip Farmhouse on Instagram while gathering ideas one day and it looked so easy and so delicious so I decided to try it.
The ingredients were simple and so I picked them up at the grocery store and got busy. Also, I have a neighbor that makes local honey (it's simply the best!) and I decided to use that in this bread recipe as well.
This bread is so delicious and so easy to make. Each batch makes 3 loaves. I'm hooked! I can't wait to make another batch to share with friends.... that is, if I don't eat it myself!
I've included a link to her blog below, along with the recipe I followed for a quick and delicious honey wheat bread. Let me know what you think in the comments!
