I’ve arrived at the airport and I’m getting ready to take off shortly! I’m an hour and a half early, but this time to sit and wait is good for me since it’s the first time in a long while that I’ve actually had time to really think about the trip. In all the craziness, I’ve packed and unpacked my suitcase 3 times, fought off a terrible headache, ran all over Macclenny to take care of some last minute errands, had lunch with Kari, and somehow managed to get everything packed up in a 47 lb. suitcase. I think the hardest part of it all is saying goodbye even though my family is scattered all over the place right now. Already I can’t wait to arrive back to Jacksonville. I’m like that every time I travel though! Maybe it’ll get easier to travel one of these days.
Our team is 8 strong and I’ll get to meet them soon in Paris. Yes, PARIS!!! As an added bonus we have a 12 hr. layover that we’ll get to spend in the city. Seeing the city of Paris and the Eiffel Tower has been a dream.
Before I go, I’d like to ask you to pray for smooth flights, plenty of rest along the way, and for wifi…. I know it sounds crazy, but I want to be able to talk to my family and update the blog.
It is by no accident that I’m here. God has a plan and a purpose for all of us. I’m discovering mine one little journey at a time.
But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth. (Exodus 9:16 NIV)
